Truth and Information

Since the advent of the personal computer and the internet, there has been a blur in what we would discern fact from fiction, the onslaught of new information, and the concept of Truth has changed from a lighthouse to a kaleidoscope that is constantly changing, We have been made numb from this shock and awe tactic from the media, and now from the disenfranchise and dissolution people on the internet that flood html's with commerce instead of compassion. The best example of this is government and our understanding of it, and I'm not just speaking of the United States but every country on this planet. Each system of government has been challenged by its people when the consciousness i.e. intelligence of the people has been shown new forms of understanding. Let's take what's going on in Darfur for a moment, the horrific stories that are coming out of Darfur begs me to ask myself the following question "With my new found knowledge, have I become more proactive or reactive? and on a larger scale, Is government purpose to protect a way of life or to enforce it?" Always remember it our quest as human beings to search for this elusive thing we call Truth, be it through spiritual or material means. And if you wondering who was that in the pic, her name is Arundhati Roy, google it if you're open to new forms of compassion.
