AMERICA: Freedom To Fascism. Aaron Russo Interview.
Video and description taken directly from http://www.consciousmedianetwork.com. Please visit the website for MUCH more information on other such topics and interviews. "Born in Brooklyn and raised on Long Island, Aaron Russo began promoting rock and roll shows at local theaters while still a high school student. From there, he worked for his family's business, opened a night club in Chicago where he helped create the careers of such legendary acts as Led Zeppelin, The Who, Janis Joplin, The Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane. No stranger to success, Aaron was the first Hollywood Producer to command $1 million for his services, with titles such as 'Trading Places' and 'The Rose' after a seven year partnership with Bette Midler, whom he managed to become the superstar she now is. Aaron has now stepped out and produced a radical new movie called 'America: From Freedom to Fascism' and it has received standing ovations in theatres from all around the country in its test marketing. Destined to be one of this years great movies, he takes things way further than Michael Moore and proves that the there is nothing in the tax code that says you have to pay tax on your labor. Now it's time for you to decide for yourself. Do we stand up for our constitutional rights or do we bury our heads in fear from political and social pressure." |

Truth and Information
Since the advent of the personal computer and the internet, there has been a blur in what we would discern fact from fiction, the onslaught of new information, and the concept of Truth has changed from a lighthouse to a kaleidoscope that is constantly changing, We have been made numb from this shock and awe tactic from the media, and now from the disenfranchise and dissolution people on the internet that flood html's with commerce instead of compassion. The best example of this is government and our understanding of it, and I'm not just speaking of the United States but every country on this planet. Each system of government has been challenged by its people when the consciousness i.e. intelligence of the people has been shown new forms of understanding. Let's take what's going on in Darfur for a moment, the horrific stories that are coming out of Darfur begs me to ask myself the following question "With my new found knowledge, have I become more proactive or reactive? and on a larger scale, Is government purpose to protect a way of life or to enforce it?" Always remember it our quest as human beings to search for this elusive thing we call Truth, be it through spiritual or material means. And if you wondering who was that in the pic, her name is Arundhati Roy, google it if you're open to new forms of compassion.

Movie Review
I just watched the film "Turtles can fly" and I have to say it was terrific, the way the director balanced the children's wonder with the harsh surroundings was simply brilliant. The style he chose to shoot it in was a smart choice, it kind of reminded me of the French film "Cache" that I also highly recommend you check out when you get a chance. Just when I thought there were no more good films out there, once again I was corrected. Thank heaven for foreign films. I'm feeling that these so-called reality shows are bringing back the resurgence of the verite' film style which I think is the interest of the day. The spontaneity of a news show with the narrative of a feature film.
